Overview
WristScore ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy details how data is handled across our Wear OS and Mobile companion applications.
We believe in total transparency. WristScore operates 100% locally on your devices. We do not collect, upload, share, or sell any of your personal data, match logs, or health metrics.
Data Processing & Caching
All data generated during your matches is processed and stored directly on your phone and smartwatch:
- • Match HistoryYour match scores, mode configurations, game timestamps, and win/loss records are written directly to your mobile device's local cache database.
- • No Cloud StorageWe do not operate remote databases or cloud profiles. If you delete the application from your phone, all accumulated match logs and statistics are permanently erased from the device.
Permissions Explained
To provide scoring and health integrations on your smartwatch, the application requests the following system permissions:
- • Body Sensors (Heart Rate)Used exclusively to display your heart rate during scoring and generate the post-match intensity graph. This data is read via the system sensor APIs, saved inside your local database, and never transmitted over the internet.
- • Notifications & Ongoing ActivitiesAllows WristScore to remain active on your Wear OS watch face so you can quickly glance at the score during match play without the app closing.
- • Wake LockKeeps the watch screen active while you are on the scoring page, preventing the watch from sleeping mid-game.
Analytics Services
We utilize Firebase Google Analytics on the mobile companion application to gather completely anonymous, aggregate metrics (such as active installs, downloads, uninstalls, and basic match statistics including durations, formats, and winner sides). This data details how the app runs across different devices to help us improve stability and evaluate cross-device engagement (such as checking if a paired smartwatch has the watch app installed).
GDPR Consent:Analytics collection is disabled by default. On first launch, the mobile app will prompt you for explicit consent to opt-in. You can enable or disable anonymous usage telemetry at any time by toggling the "Send Usage Telemetry" setting within the mobile application.
No Health Data Sharing: In accordance with Google Play Developer policies and Firebase terms of service, no heart rate, health, or biometric metrics are ever transmitted to Google Analytics. All physical sensor readings are stored strictly inside your local device database.
